Friends of Slieve Aughty

Friends of Slieve Aughty is an exciting program offered to the equestrian community.

We are aware that participating in equestrian events requires deep pockets, especially if you have more than one enthusiastic rider in the family. Friends of Slieve Aughty was created to ease the financial burdens for individuals and families who would like to be active in equestrian activities throughout the year. Depending on your needs, join as a family or an individual.

Become a Friend and:

• attend 3 free equestrian or holiday events per year
• receive a 10% discount on all Slieve Aughty Centre services and products
• be entered in a yearly draw for a weekend getaway for 2.

Slieve Aughty Centre caters for beginners and advanced riders of all ages with experienced instructors, guides, and horses. An AIRE approved riding centre, we take pride in our safety record and attention to quality. Take a dressage or show jumping lesson in our 30 x 50 m all weather sand arena, or test your skill on the 20 acre cross country course. Additional jumps in the adjacent 2,000 acre Kylebrack forest can be jumped during a trek, or enjoy a scenic, leisurely ride to the river. With over 30 horses and ponies, bring your own mount or hire one of ours.

We can accommodate groups and individuals and offer meals and accommodation.

• Sunday brunch and cross country ride
• One hour guided trail ride
• Riding lesson
• Holiday Festival
• Clinics and Workshops (up to €40)

Each of the activities listed above are valued at €40 or more. Individual membership costs only €50 per year, while a family membership is €150 per year, regardless of the number of family members.
